Food when trekking

Itreknepal prides itself on having commissioned some of the finest exponents of the native cuisine. A fusion of flavors – drawn from Europe and North America - will also assail your taste buds. Our aim is to make sure that you will always have options of different types of food while on trek.

Your day begins with a hot drink in your tent or at the tea house. There is little better than a nice hot cup of the local brew to stir you to a day of hard trekking.

Breakfast usually includes cereal, porridge, pancakes and eggs in different styles, coffee, tea and bread with jam and butter.

Lunch typically includes a choice of chapattis, vegetable salads, soup, fruits, beverages and local snacks. On other occasions lunch may consist of fried rice, noodles, other pasta dishes or sandwiches.

Dinner includes soup and a full hot meal including rice or potatoes, vegetables and lentils followed by dessert.
