Just completed the short Jomson (fly in) to Beni Trek 4 easy days (down hill), there has been a lot of rain at the end of the monsoon which is not normal for this time of year, the trails are safe but an experienced guide is 100% essential due to changes to trails and landslide prone areas (to avoid), @ Beni we encountered a bus heading back from Beni to Pokhara again Itrek uses private 4WD essential on this transfer.

I have seen no Maoist problems the trails are beautiful heading into the Autumn season warm days and cool nights upto 3,500m but….

Avoid Kathmandu with the petrol crisis huge traffic Jams and differculty getting about the city, during this period we are recomending a one day stop and if heading for Annapurna a direct transfer to Pokhara leigh 28/9/07 Pokhara Nepal
